Day 1 – Arrival in Zurich

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you will have some free time. In the afternoon, you will find information about the start of your tour on the notice boards located in the hotel reception area.

Please note that hotel check-in is usually available from 2:00 PM. If you require your room earlier, it is recommended to book an additional night at the beginning of your trip.

Note: The schedules provided in this program are for guidance only. The tour guide may adjust them as needed to enhance your travel experience.

 

Day 2 – From Zurich to Rapperswil and Return to Zurich

Distance traveled by train: 42 km

Note: Today’s itinerary is unique, featuring a scenic boat trip across Lake Zurich with the return journey by train. Depending on the number of travelers, public transportation may be used for transfers to and from the city center. Please note that boat schedules are subject to change, and the program may be adjusted accordingly.

09:00 AM – We will depart from the hotel for a relaxing day. Accompanied by our guide, we will enjoy a walking tour of Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city and its financial and cultural capital. Zurich is world-renowned for its banking industry and has been ranked twice as the best city in the world for quality of life.

10:30 AM – We will embark on a two-hour boat trip across Lake Zurich. The boat will make short stops, giving us the opportunity to admire the charming villages along the lakeshore.

12:30 PM – Rapperswil – We will arrive at this picturesque small town, famous for its medieval castle. You will have free time to stroll around and enjoy lunch.

03:00 PM – We will return to Zurich by train, experiencing the efficiency and precision of the Swiss railway system. The journey takes less than 35 minutes. Afterwards, you will have free time to continue exploring the city on your own.

Day 3 – From Zurich to Grindelwald, then Lucerne, and Return to Zurich

Total distance covered: 280 km

Note: Warm clothing and comfortable walking shoes are recommended, and don’t forget your camera. Please be aware that the cable car may occasionally be out of service due to weather conditions (such as strong winds) or maintenance. In such cases, an alternative transfer to a similar site will be provided.

07:30 AM – Departure from Zurich for a scenic journey through breathtaking landscapes of towering mountains and sparkling lakes.

10:00 AM – Grindelwald – Enjoy a coffee break in this picturesque Alpine resort in the Bernese Alps before taking the cable car up to Grindelwald First (tickets included), the largest ski area in the region. We’ll go on a 30-minute walk along a trail offering stunning views of the Alps, including the “Cliff Walk” suspended bridge, where you can admire the surrounding glaciers. Lunch is included for all passengers (with a vegetarian option available).

01:45 PM – Departure from Grindelwald towards Lucerne.

03:30 PM – Lucerne – Free time to explore this charming Swiss city, including the iconic Chapel Bridge over the River Reuss, the Town Hall and its square, the Clock Tower, and pedestrian streets lined with elegant shops. Enjoy a walking tour and dinner before returning to Zurich.

07:00 PM – Departure from Lucerne back to Zurich.

08:00 PM – Arrival in Zurich.

Additional Notes:

  • For operational reasons, departure from Lucerne may be brought forward to 5:30 PM, allowing time for dinner in Zurich before returning to the hotel.
  • The guide will also offer an optional full-day excursion beginning in the morning. After some free time in Lucerne, we will take the rotating cable car up to Mount Titlis, which rises over 3,000 meters above sea level and offers breathtaking panoramic views of glaciers and the Swiss Alps.
Day 4 – From Zurich to Bellinzona, then Como, and on to Milan

Total distance covered: 290 km

Scenery: Spectacular Alpine landscapes featuring mountains and lakes. Don’t forget your camera!

Note: Please keep your passport readily available, as it may be required when crossing the border into Italy.

08:00 AM – Departure from Zurich – We set off early in the morning, crossing the Alps toward the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland.

10:45 AM – Bellinzona – Arrival in this historic city, renowned for its three medieval castles, all listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These castles, with their walls, towers, and gates overlooking the town from the surrounding hills, are outstanding examples of medieval military architecture and highlight the city’s historic importance as Alpine fortresses. Free time to wander through the charming narrow streets of the old town.

12:00 PM – Departure from Bellinzona.

01:15 PM – Como – Arrival in this gem of the Lombardy region, famous for its beautiful lakeside promenade, lush gardens, and impressive cathedral. Enjoy free time to stroll around and have lunch.

03:15 PM – Departure from Como.

04:15 PM – Milan – Arrival in Italy’s financial and fashion capital. Our guide will take you to the stunning Piazza del Duomo, where you will have free time to explore the square and admire the city’s magnificent landmarks.

08:00 PM – Transfer to the hotel.

Day 5 – From Milan to Pisa and on to Rome

Total distance covered: 640 km

Scenery: Enjoy breathtaking views of the Mediterranean coastline, with stunning seaside landscapes and picturesque nature along the way.

08:30 AM – Departure from Milan, Italy’s financial hub, heading toward the city of Pisa.

12:00 PM – Pisa – Upon arrival, we’ll take the mini tourist train to the Piazza dei Miracoli (Square of Miracles). You’ll have time to admire one of Italy’s most beautiful artistic complexes, including the world-famous Leaning Tower of Pisa.

03:00 PM – Departure from Pisa, continuing our journey south toward Rome.

08:30 PM – Arrival in Rome.

Note: Timings on this day may vary, with possible late arrivals in both Pisa and Rome to accommodate travelers joining from Nice.

Day 6 – Rome

In the morning, enjoy a panoramic tour with a local guide lasting about three hours through the Eternal City, one of the oldest and most influential centers of Western civilization. The tour combines a coach ride with a walking section through part of Imperial Rome, where we will see, among other highlights, the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum, and the Imperial Forums — the architectural complex that once served as the political heart of the ancient world.

During the coach route, we’ll pass by several iconic landmarks, including the Circus Maximus, the Basilica of Santa Maria in Cosmedin with the famous Bocca della Verità (Mouth of Truth), the Republican temples, the Baths of Caracalla, the Aurelian Walls, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Archbasilica of St. John Lateran, the Basilica of Santa Maria in Domnica (Navicella), the Pyramid of Cestius, Porta San Paolo, Tiber Island, Lungotevere Street with its Babylonian-style Synagogue, and the exterior of Castel Sant’Angelo.

This panoramic tour will end around 11:00 AM at Vatican City, an independent state within Rome and the center of the Catholic Church. For those interested, our guide will offer an optional visit to the Vatican Museums, including the world-renowned Sistine Chapel, to explore its most significant halls in greater detail.

Afternoon: Free time to explore the city at your leisure.

06:00 PM – In the evening, we’ll provide a transfer to the lively Trastevere district, where you can choose from a wide selection of traditional trattorias and international restaurants.
Return to the hotel will be around 08:30 PM.

Day 7 – From Rome to Florence

Total distance covered: 320 km

Scenery: The Apennine Mountains and the vineyards of Tuscany.

Note: Comfortable walking shoes are recommended, as the Florence tour involves walking.

08:00 AM – Departure from Rome, traveling through the Tiber Valley.
12:15 PM – Arrival in Florence, with our first stop at Piazzale Michelangelo, a famous viewpoint offering breathtaking panoramas of the city — don’t forget your camera!

We’ll then begin a 2.5-hour walking tour with a local guide, visiting the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore), Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, the Straw Market, Piazza della Repubblica, and the Palazzo Vecchio.

Afternoon: Free time to explore Florence’s historic markets and world-class museums at your own pace.

Florence offers a wide range of restaurants serving both local Tuscan specialties and international cuisine.
After enjoying dinner, we will return to the hotel.
